The Cévennes National Park has put in place a network of tourism offices and information centres on the Park level and beyond. From Alès to Mende, via Le Vigan, Génolhac and Florac, almost thirty centres working in partnership with the Park are open to the public.
The various centres give out information on natural and cultural heritage; the regulations that apply in the Park’s central zone; and the Park’s activities and missions. The centres are also heavily involved in the promotion of the Festival Nature and the Eco-museums.
A partnership convention formalises the relations between the Park and these centres. This makes it possible to disseminate information, train staff and furnish the sites.
To complement this network of partners, the National Park also directly manages several Maisons du Parc, or Park Houses (Florac, Génolhac, Le Vigan) and information centres (Mas Camargues), where information is given by Park personnel. Their welcome is more personalised and focuses on environmental issues.
