Mountain bikes are an excellent way of discovering the Cévennes. You can cycle on all tracks suitable for motor vehicles, but must avoid the narrow paths reserved for hikers.
Nonetheless, mountain bikes are not allowed on certain stretches of track because of steep slopes or because other use is being made of them.
On a mountain bike, you must respect other Park users and slow down when approaching them. Note that there is hunting in the National Park. Be vigilant – you could rapidly and silently find yourself in an area where hunting is underway.
