The Cévennes National Park and the Saguenay National Park celebrated their twinning on 5 July 1984 in Rivière-Eternité. The objectives of this agreement were to promote an exchange of expertise in managing protected areas, preserving heritage and involving local populations.
The Cévennes national Park and the Nature Reserve of Montseny have been linked since November 1987 by a twinning agreement, based on their shared identity as UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. The two parks also have similar characteristics with regard to geography, biology, sociology and the challenges that they face.
