Missions of the Cévennes National Park
National Parks have a duty to protect their heritage and biodiversity, educate young people, and enhance their heritage through human activities – agriculture, forestry, tourism, etc. – which respect their remarkable natural spaces and help maintain the Park’s character.
The tasks entrusted by the State
The French Government has given the Cévennes national Park seven tasks, ranging from protecting and monitoring its territory, to raising public awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development, to advising and supporting local bodies.
