The Centre’s specialist database on the Cévennes – both in social and natural sciences – is at everyone’s disposal. The database contains over 14,000 items: books, reviews, articles, reports, studies, theses, cards, registry-office microfilms and family archives.

Access

Monday to Friday from 9 am to noon and 2.30 to 5.30 pm, preferably by reservation, either by phone on 04.66.61.19.97 or by email to doc@cevennes-parcnational.fr
Admission is free and open to all. Documents may only be consulted on site – no loans. Researchers coming from other regions may be able to obtain accommodation on site if they request it sufficiently far in advance.

The networks

The Centre is part of a network of documentation centres of protected areas. This network has an Internet portal where you can consult the databases of other resource centres (National Parks, Atelier technique des espaces naturels, Tour du Valat, etc.).

The database of the Centre at Génolhac can also be accessed via the cultural portal of the département of Lozère.

The Centre works closely with the Maison de la nature et de l’environnement d’Alès, which has a resource centre with holdings that relate to environmental education in particular; and with the Sup’Agro Florac university, whose resource centre specialises in protected-area management, agricultural issues and educational methods.
